Douglas Behan, DSW, LCSW

is a clinical social worker, professor,  and psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience as a clinician, teacher, and program administrator.

 

He is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice and the Director of Continuing Education  at the Rutgers University School of Social Work, where he coordinates  the curriculum for advanced clinical courses and oversees the nations largest university-based social work professional development program.

 

He enjoys teaching the fundamentals of therapy and has been intrigued and guided by the common factors of psychotherapy since first learning about them as an undergraduate in the 1980s.
